Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the striking clock of the Palace of Westminster in London
The official name of the tower was originally the Clock Tower, but it was renamed Elizabeth Tower in 2012.
The tower was designed in a neo-Gothic style. When completed in 1859, its clock was the largest four-faced striking clock in the world.
The tower stands 96 m tall. Its base is square, measuring 12 m on each side. Dials of the clock are 7.0 m in diameter.
Big Ben is the largest of the tower's five bells. Four quarter bells chime at 15, 30 and 45 minutes past the hour and just before Big Ben
The clock uses its original Victorian mechanism. The tower is a British cultural icon recognised all over the world.

ACTIVIDADES DE LOS DÍAS 26 Y 27 DE MARZO:
1ª) DE LA PELÍCULA EL HOMBRE QUE HACÍA MILAGROS.RESPUESTAS:
1. Esta pregunta se refiere a Juan, no a Jesús…Les dice que la persona que viene detrás de él, Jesús, bautizará con el Espíritu Santo.
2. Con agua.
3. Jugaban en ese río, corrían hacia sus madres y las seguían.
4. Juan y Jesús.
5. Cordero de Dios.
6. Arrepentíos, bautizaos y dejar de pecar.
7. La del Padre del cielo: Dios
2ª) RESPUESTA A RELACIONAR.
· Domingo de Ramos….Entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén, montado en una borriquilla. Mucha gente le recibe con palmas, ramas de olivo y diciendo HOSANNA, Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor.
· Jueves Santo………Jesús celebra la fiesta de la Pascua cenando con sus apóstoles. Será su última cena . Es la Primera Comunión de la historia porque ese día instituye el sacramento de la Eucaristía. Judas le traiciona.
Después va al monte de los Olivos a rezar.
· Viernes Santo………De madrugada Judas con los soldados de los sacerdotes se acerca a Jesús para arrestarle. Le da un beso para que reconozcan quien es Jesús pues estaba con 3 apóstoles: Juan, Pedro y Santiago.
Le llevan a la casa de los sacerdotes para juzgarle. Le hacen un juicio injusto.
A lo largo de la mañana le llevan a Herodes que se burla de Jesús poniéndole una capa roja y una corona de espinas. Después a Pilato, que no quiera saber nada y finalmente es crucificado y muerto a las 3 de la tarde.
· Domingo de Resurrección……… Jesús resucita
